Violette's Inspiration: “Shortly before embarking on a press tour seven years ago, I visited a dermatologist who suggested I proceed with a laser treatment – one that left me with a mild burn all over my face. I had to apply foundation to hide the burn for the press tour, which is the last thing you should do because foundation can settle into the irritated area and the inflammation can worsen and get infected. There was nothing on the market that offered a solution to my problem, so I started to dream of a product that would help heal and reduce skin wounds and blemishes, act like a protective barrier, and prime skin for makeup.”

Invisible Bandage underwent clinical trials and consumer testing on problematic, oily, combination, and acneic skin. After just one use:
*Consumer Testing: 30 participants aged 20-60 with blemishes and minor skin abrasions tested over 7 days
**Clinical Testing: 10 participants aged 20-60 with blemishes and minor skin abrasions tested over 1 day / after the first application
Twist the applicator to "ON," then lightly squeeze the tube to release the formula (a little goes a long way). Brush a thin layer directly onto problem areas, then allow it to dry for at least one minute before applying foundation, concealer, or powder. Twist the applicator to "OFF" before replacing the cap. After use, wipe or rinse the applicator with water as needed and pat it dry before replacing the cap.
Apply after skincare as needed, AM and PM. If using SPF, apply before mineral sunscreen and after chemical sunscreen. Can be used on the face or body. Do not apply to open wounds.
To remove, simply use water (if bare-faced) or your regular makeup cleanser (if wearing makeup), then rinse clean.

The brush is a twistable applicator that is designed to open but it doesn't twist completely shut and some product comes out on it's own! So that's a waste. "I really like this concept and how the product dries down. It doesn't pull, or peel, when I apply makeup on top, which I love. However, I think the packaging and applicator needs to be reconsidered. I find that I need to apply quite a bit of pressure to get the product out and then way too much comes out. This feel really wasteful as you only need a small amount for cuts or blemishes. The applicator brush is also way too big, most people would not use this for large areas so I think the brush should be a third of the size of what it currently is (at most). It also difficult to clean the brush so the excess product dries up, becomes gloopy and then blocks the fresh product from coming out of the tube. If this had a much smaller brush that you could unscrew and pull out of the tube I think it would be much better. Easier to use and less wasteful."
