Bisou Blush

Color:

Bisou Blush

Complexion / Matte Cream Blush + Brush

Complexion / Matte Cream Blush + Brush

Give your cheeks a kiss of couleur. This matte-cream blush melts into skin to create a natural, fresh-faced flush. Each Bisou Blush houses a swirl of marbled pigments to deliver a multi-dimensional wash of color that adds a healthy blush to your skin, while the attached brush allows you to easily apply and blend on the spot.

Each of the three colors is inspired by Violette’s real-life muses – Inès, Louise, and Aïssa. Inès brings out an incredibly luminous, soft pink flush. Louise is a tender beige with a touch of pink – a more neutral blush that’s ideal for fair skin or anyone who deals with rosacea. Aïssa melts perfectly into darker skin for that radiating-from-within look.

When your cheeks naturally flush, it’s not just one even color – it’s multidimensional, so your blush should be too. That’s why Bisou Blush couples marbled pigments – one that’s sheer and balmy, and another more vibrant hue – that deliver a subtle, true-to-life radiance. After blending with the attached brush, your cheeks are left with layers of transparent color and no perceptible lines or transitions. You don’t have to worry about messing up your foundation either – this detachable brush was designed to be firm enough for blending and soft enough to maintain any makeup you have on underneath.

Founder's note

When Inès was a baby, she had a natural lush on her cheeks that was hard to go unnoticed. The rosy color inspired Violette to create a vibrant baby pink that was inspired by the sweet cherubic cheeks of Violette’s daughter.

Bisou Blush has been a huge priority for me ever since we launched Bisou Balm, because I really see them as part of the same look. When I describe this look I always say “It’s just a kiss – just a kiss of color on the lips, just a kiss of color on the cheek.” Because it looks like that very natural flush we all have. The inspiration for this flush goes way back to my art school days though. I was obsessed with Neoclassic paintings and I’d study the techniques the masters used to create radiant, true-to-life skin. They’d blend colors in such a subtle way that the flush looked like it was coming from within – almost like layers of transparent color. I took all of these techniques with me into the lab when I created the Bisou franchise and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

A muted pink-beige inspired by Violette’s best friend and French actress Louise Monot, who blushes easily but loves the dimension of cheek color. This neutral shade neutralizes excess redness, complimenting those with fair skin.

Founder's note

It was always a dream of Violette’s to create a warm berry blush. Inspired by Violette’s longtime muse and French actress, Aïssa Maïga, the deeper shade melts perfectly into darker skin for that radiating-from-within look.
