THE INSPIRATION
Since her art school days, Violette has been fascinated with how the Renaissance masters rendered true-to-life skin. During the development of Plume Blush, she found herself drawn to the velatura painting technique, where thin, semi-opaque layers of color cast light through depth. The result: a soft matte veil of color that feels vibrant yet diffused, paired with an essential complexion brush inspired by traditional Japanese kabuki brushes.
THE INNOVATION
Achieving the perfect harmony between melt and matte, the innovative formula suspends powder pigments in a flexible gel matrix to create an incredibly creamy, highly blendable texture before setting into a soft-focus matte finish. A thoughtful blend of waxes, emollients, skin conditioners, and lightweight plant-derived oils helps reduce the visible signs of texture while ensuring weightless comfort and long-lasting color.
