Amour Fou [ah-more foo] – crazy love: Violette’s signature red: powerful, fiery and sensual.
A magnetic matte liquid lipstick that replicates the qualities of a rose petal with its velvety texture, color intensity, dramatic depth, and suppleness. The richly-pigmented formula builds with each lightweight layer to create multiple lip looks—from diffused to a petal-like ombré effect and more. The couture shades push the boundaries, shifting between dark and bright, warm and cool, with a touch of vavavoom.
Violette's Inspiration: “Petal Bouche is inspired by an unforgettable red-black rose I saw at Jardin Bagatelle in Paris when I was just eight years old. It was powerful, fiery, and sensual—so memorable that it stayed with me and became the very first lip product I knew I had to create when I launched VIOLETTE_FR. My vision for each Petal Bouche shade is precise, and my standards are very high, which is why it takes at least a year to develop.”

Recommended use
Starting at the Cupid’s bow, use the tip of the applicator to paint a V just above your lip line, following the natural volume of your lips. Connect the corners of your mouth to the top of the V, then extend the line to the bottom lip. This technique creates a fuller, less severe lip by subtly enhancing the lip line.

"Unfortunately, this one is not for me. It bleeds so bad, even if I don’t use any balm or even if I dry my lips before I use it. , and even if I blot my lips after application. And even worse it feels like it dries my lips. Once, it also stained my teeth when I was out in public (how embarrassing). So basically, now it’s only good for drink-free online meetings. I’ve used other products from this brand and they are better."

"Ho questo prodotto in Amour fou da ormai da più di un anno, ogni volta che provo a metterlo si stende malissimo, la tinta è densa ma appena mangio o bevo va via subito lasciando un bruttissimo effetto "pagliaccio" sulla bocca. Mi dispiace molto, e non capisco come mai date le molte recensioni positive. Con tutti gli altri prodotti violette per le labbra mi trovo benissimo ma con questo non c'è nulla da fare."

Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Schade, dass es bisher noch keinen passenden Lipliner zu dieser Farbe gibt. "Obsessed. Cerise Desir is everything I needed from a red lipstick. For a liquid lipstick, it’s unbelievable; even after hours of wear it is not drying and still blends out! I first wore it with neat, precise edges and then wanted to blend it out after a several hours and it did beautifully, no problems. Gave me the most beautiful cloud lips. It was just gorgeous and so deep from the first application but I applied it four times like in one of the videos of Violette’s and it was the most intense, ethereal and sexy red. I was sad when I had to take it off and put off removing my makeup for some time. Just that, maybe because of the number of coats I applied it did pill a bit and it transfers slightly on kissing lightly eg giving someone a peck."
