My first lip stain!

"I've ordered a few lip products from Violette, I've enjoyed them all, but I wanted something less saturated and could be an every day lip color. I've been looking for a lip product that would enhance my natural lip color and be hydrating. This was my first lip stain product and I absolutely love it. I'm able to either reapply or use just lip balm on top but still have color. I normally just wear lip balm and very particular with how my lips feel. The Lip Nectar is super comfortable to wear, not drying, the product stays and the stain is a perfect amount of subtle staining color. Semi-gloss,not super duper shiny. Also I'd like to add since this is my first lip staining product, I was worried that applying more throughout the day would continue to make my lips darker, but it never did! I look forward to trying out other colors!"

So, I was confused at first….

"New to this brand, but kept seeing the products, so I finally decided to try this lip stain because I absolutely love a good lip stain. I have to admit, I was confused at first. I was used to a different brand, so this took some experimenting. Now, I absolutely love it! I feel like it took me a moment to fully grasp the beauty of a more sheer product, and a bit of a more casual approach to application. I can dot it on for an everyday look, or layer more for a deeper result. I also love the clean ingredients and supporting a smaller company!"

"I am so blown away at the texture of this gloss! It's completely non sticky but has just the right amount of slip. I dislike super slippery oily glosses, but I also dislike super sitcky ones, and this isn't any of that. It looks just "wet" enough without being super shiny, but it doesn't look gross or dry. I'm really not sure I can truly describe the feeling; it just "floats" on the lips. And it leaves a stain once wiped off to boot. Absolutely beautiful product, certainly more than I ever thought. I'm ao glad I decided to try it, I want more colors!"

Lovely colour and feel!

"Super lovely colour, feels highly hydrating on the lips without being sticky. I was kind of expecting it to be a tad more pigmented - it always feels as if the product wasn't mixed well in its container as it seems to be uneven when I apply it. I try to overcome this by stirring it very lightly with the applicator, maybe it's the temperature currently."

"Once you start using this you cannot go back! It's my go-to everyday lip product. The gloss surprisingly stays on quite a long time and leaves lips supple and the lip stain is a lovely reddish orangey shade."

"I have all the colors now! Some last longer than others, but I think that's true for any stain. These last longer than most, though not as long as the very drying ones. I think it's the perfect compromise. 4-6 hours of solid wear with no dryness."

Lip Nectar

"It's not bad. I thought it would last longer, but it really doesn't last more than half an hour on my lips, so I have to reapply it. The "fade" effect remains, though. I was honestly expecting a bit more from it. Maybe I need a different type of lipstick for my lips. They tend to be dry, and I need hydration, so a matte formula probably isn't the best choice. . . Not completely satisfied."
