Guimauve [ghee-mov] – marshmallow: a soft coral with a touch of spice, that leaves you feeling fresh.
A sheer matte lipstick-meets-hydrating balm that delivers the iconic Bouche Mordue—or “just-bitten lips”—look in one step. The unique, moisturizing formula blends seamlessly into lips, diffusing color for a soft-focus, blurred finish that feels effortlessly French. Swipe once for a natural flush, or layer to build color payoff. Formulated with smoothing emollients, soft-focus powders, and botanical Lapacho Tree Extract, Bisou Balm helps hydrate lips while minimizing the appearance of fine lines. The result: sheer, buildable color with a soft-focus blur—like you’ve just been kissed.
Violette's Inspiration: “In France, after the red lipstick, our favorite lip look is called 'bouche mordue' (just-bitten lips). To achieve it, we apply lip balm, add a touch of lipstick, and then kiss a tissue to remove excess shine, so it looks more like our natural lips. Bisou Balm leaves behind *just* the right amount of pigment and comes in the most delicious colors, inspired by the traditional French candies of my childhood."
0.08oz / 2.5g
Swipe Bisou Balm onto bare lips, applying just beyond the natural lip line. Layer up to three coats depending on the desired pigment.
For very dry lips, moisturize before applying.

"Very exited to try this lipstick and it came damaged. When I opened it it came completely off the casing. I contacted Customer Service but I haven’t gotten a response yet."
"I am astonishhed but my lifelong search for THE BEST lipstick has officially ended. I have found it and it is the Bisou Balm in Betise for every day and Amour Fou for my perfect red. The formula is matte and yet somehow blurs lip lines and gives my lips a slightly plumper and rather youthful look - like the lips I used to have! I first use a plain lip balm and after I give it a chance to sink in, I apply the Bisou Balm and I am all set. It is just gorgeous!"
"The color payoff is horrible. It feels like wax on my lips. Your ad is misleading because it looks nothing like the model in your advertisement on my lips! I would never recommend this product to anyone and I am sad that I did not keep the return label because I would return all three of the lip balms I purchased in a second they are trash and your advertisement is very misleading. Shame on you."
"Un vrai coup de cœur ! Le tube est joli, la couleur et la texture très sympas avec un effet soin. On peut moduler la couleur en faisant 1 seul passage pour un résultat discret ou plusieurs pour un résultat plus peps. C'est vraiment une formule réussie. Le seul bémol : il y a une très légère odeur que je n'ai pas réussi à identifier et qui est un peu trop présente à mon goût. Mais elle s'estompe assez rapidement."

"The product is crappy as I said before the color pay off does not appear as in your advertisements. They are very misleading and I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. I will never purchase from you again. I can promise you that and I will tell anyone who asks that this product is not what it’s advertised to me."
"This was definitely not worth the hype. I was influenced by ads all over my social media and deply regret givening them my money. Save your hard earned money for a lip tint or something. The feeling of the lip balm is a sensory nightmare. The whole gimic with the color being subtle and being able to buid it up is a sham. Maybe on a lighter skin tone would really work and be everthing i was hoping for but hard pass for me. Just to be clear I bought two shades that would normally work for a deeper/darker skin tone and am not complaining that a baby pink didnt work on me."

"Bisou Balm in Mon Chéri is the perfect shade for my colouring. It can be applied as a subtle wash of colour or built up for a richer look, making it equally suitable for day and evening wear. My only criticism is that the colour doesn't last particularly long and could be slightly more pigmented."
"I love these balms. This shade is perhaps a little light for me, but it's perfect for summer when I want just a hint of colour on my lips. My only critique is that the colour doesn't last very long and could be slightly more pigmented. That said, it's a balm, not a lipstick, so the sheer finish is very much part of its appeal."
