To achieve it, we apply lip balm, add a touch of lipstick, and then kiss a tissue to remove excess shine, so it looks more like our natural lips. Bisou Balm leaves behind *just* the right amount of pigment and comes in the most delicious colors, inspired by the traditional French candies of my childhood."

"I love Bétise (the perfect rose) and Calisson (the perfect neutral), but I just got Chocolat and it is everything, a perfect fall neutral straight from the 90's. These lipsticks are buildable alone or over a more moisturizing balm, but fairly drying alone. They definitely deliver the blur and smooth effect as advertised. They don't stay put long but leave a bit of a tint, and I reapply when needed."
"I already owned two shades of the Bisou Balm so I know the formula. It's the most comfortable matte lipstick ever and I love that you can wear a sheer wash or build it up. The shade Chocolat is literally the perfect brown. I recomment this color and formula to everyone"
"I purchased Bisou Balm in Chocolat intending to use it to layer with Bonbon Myrtille on days I want a little less pink, but I fell in love with the gorgeous color all by itself <3 It’s so incredibly wearable for every day! It’s sheer but buildable, with a single layer giving a smooth sheer chocolate look, while two or three layers give a deeper color payoff. And yes, it’s awesome layered with my favorite Bonbon Myrtille too, giving that perfect slightly deepened rose. I a little sad I didn’t receive the chocolate pouch, but maybe they ran out??? Love my Bisou Balms in any case <3"
"The color pay off is WAY lighter than all of the marketing materials. While I know it is supposed to be a buildable balm, there is just no color on me and certainly nothing like the ads (for reference I am light-medium neutral skin tone so it shouldn’t be an issue). I am almost wondering if I got a one from a bad batch? The formula is lovely, though.."
"Love Love love Bisou Balms. They're so comfortable on the lips. For a matte lipsticks they're not drying at all, in fact quite the opposite. Colours are builable, give lovely blurry effect and the application is so effortless, no need for a mirror, perfect for on the go. I have 5 shades of Bisou Balms and Mon Chéri is my favourite, followed closely by Chocolat💙"
"I love the formula but I’m not getting the color pay off as advertised. I have pale lips and this barely shows on me after several, multiple swipes. Is there a trick I don’t know about? Hope there’s more dark shades coming with better pay off. My other two balms are great but too pink for me. Still a great formula, not sticky or drying."
"This color is a DREAM. I am fair with freckles (neutral skin tone with a tendency to blush easily). Violette mentioned that Chocolat took her a while bc she wanted to infuse some red in it so it wouldn't be gray. I wasn't sure how this color would work on my fair skin but it is so flattering!
